Artist: Italian artist Milo Sacchi claims to be a specialist in "provocative"
art. And perhaps his roadkill statuary is a breakthrough in this field, as much
as it is in the field of taxidermy. Sacchi collects the organic detritus of
the Italian highway-abattoir system, transforming what would be speed bumps into
objects of beauty and controversy.
Work pictured: The Misuses of power. Muffled screams. An evokation of
man's suffering under totalitarian regimes. Or something.
Verdict: This gives me a big fat boner, but perhaps that's just me. Small wonder
though, that the mainstream art establishment virtually ignores Sacchi's work.
